Packing Checklist

Average Temps high 80’s low 50’s

Ask a Coloradan how to dress and they’re likely to answer, “In layers!” The diversity of elevation means temperatures can shift on dime. Don’t underestimate the importance of layering up and packing clothes for all seasons year-round if you’re going to be exploring our great outdoors.

Please try to limit one bag per person-max size (31”x20”x12”) max weight 50 lbs. If needed a smaller one per couple would be ok as well.

Day 1 Monday July 23 - Durango

Day 2 Tuesday July 24

8am must be ready to leave for Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad trip
*bring hat, sunglasses, & sunscreen
8:15am boarding begins
8:45am train departs
12:30pm arrive Silverton
Lunch in Silverton choices of Brown Bear Café, Handlebars, or Pickle Barrel
Pick up Jeeps for off-roading adventure over California Gulch & Corkscrew Gulch to the famous 550 highway to Ouray
Beaumont Hotel & Spa 505 Main St. Ouray, CO 81427
8pm Dinner at Outlaw’s

Day 3 Wednesday July 25

Have bags packed & ready for pick up
Breakfast/lunch at your leisure
Breakfast suggestion: Backstreet Bistro
Best coffee: Mouses Chocolates-pick up some chocolates too 😊
Lunch suggestion: Ouray Brewery
Stroll around town & enjoy the scenery
12pm Off-road over Imogene pass (13,114 foot-second highest pass in CO) to Telluride

6pm Free concert Sunset Plaza Gavin Turek (pop)
8pm Dinner at Siam’s Talay Grille

Day 4 Thursday July 26

Breakfast available at hotel
Stroll around town, take the gondola down to Telluride for some shopping, drinks, & sight seeing
Personal favorites in town: Butcher & the Baker Café, Floradora Saloon, There Bar, Brown Dog Pizza, & Taco Del Gnar
Personal favorites in Mountain Village: Tomboy Tavern, Poacher’s Pub, Black Iron Kitchen & Bar,
Off-roading scenic aspen tree run on Last Dollar Road with views of Wilson Peak and Sneffels Mountain Range
7:15pm Dinner at Village Table

Day 5 Friday July 27 

Breakfast available at hotel
Shuttles to airport for those leaving
Dinner at Allreds 8pm
